Why we exist

The knowledge is free.
The service is paid.

Two sentences sum up NodeCove. Here is why they belong together.

01

The knowledge is free. The seventeen-step manual and the guides to buying bitcoin, protecting your keys and connecting your node are open to anyone, with no account and no email. Reading them takes about an hour. Giving them costs us little, and they are worth more than anything we sell.

02

Why give it away. Bitcoin does not need more customers. It needs people who understand what they hold. Someone who knows where their keys are, why an exchange is not a wallet, and what a node checks on their behalf makes better decisions, with or without us. We would rather you leave informed than stay confused.

03

Why the service is paid. Exit servers and private Bitcoin nodes cost real money every month. A free service pays for itself with what it learns about you. We prefer to learn as little as possible and to charge a fair price, in bitcoin, with no name and no card. A paid service answers to one party: the person paying for it.

04

Why the two go together. The manual describes what a careful setup looks like. The service is one way to have it without building it yourself. If you would rather build it yourself, the manual shows how, and that suits us too. Being free to choose is the whole point.

We do not promise you will understand everything in five minutes. We promise the hour will be worth it, and that we will never write down more than we need.
